Highway Bureau, MOTC
The Highway Bureau is committed to provincial highway engineering, highway transportation management and highway supervision, simplifying administration and facilitating the people. The business scope is divided into three categories: road engineering, road transportation and road supervision, providing convenient and safe services for the public.
The organization mainly handles overall projects regarding the western coastal highway, including design, construction, review, supervision, manufacturing supervision, traffic planning and setting of new development and renovation. It is also in charge of the following matters:
1.Project design and planning, budgeting and contracting.
2.Project construction quality control, annual funding control, acceptance check and handover.
3.Management and acquisition of land designated for public road use.
4.Management of labor health and work (occupational) safety.
5.Other highway related inquires.

Organization Structure

The department include the following set up:

  • One director, managing and oversighting tasks and projects of subordinate personnel.
  • Two deputy directors, assisting director with overall management.
  • One supervising (chief) engineer, in charge of reviewing and verification of manuscripts, coordination of departments and organize important meetings

There are also 4 departments (section), 4 offices and 8 work sections within the organization:

  • 4 departments (sections): Design, Engineering, Land Use and Occupational Safety.
  • 4 offices: the secretariat, personnel office, Accounting and Statistics and office and Civil service Ethic office.
